A considered refresh

Keep the cabinets. Change the feeling.

Cabinets take up a lot of visual space in a kitchen or bathroom. A well-chosen color and finish can make the whole room feel different while keeping the layout you already have.

Cabinet painting has its own preparation needs. We assess the material and existing coating, discuss the doors, frames, drawers, and panels to be painted, and define the product and finish in the estimate.

What we paint

The cabinetry that makes your space yours.

Every project starts with a written scope so you know which surfaces are included.

01 / Kitchens

Kitchen cabinets

Refresh the doors, drawer fronts, frames, and approved visible panels.

02 / Bathrooms

Bathroom vanities

Give a vanity a new color with a coating plan suited to the surface.

03 / Details

Doors & drawer fronts

Coat the parts people see and touch most, with careful attention to edges.

04 / Built-ins

Shelving & built-ins

Ask about related painted storage or built-ins as part of the project.

The JC Coatings approach

The finish depends on what happens first.

We talk through these details before the cabinets get a new color.

01 / Materials

Know the surface.

Wood, laminate, and previously coated cabinets may call for different preparation and primer.

02 / Scope

Define the details.

We specify doors, drawers, frames, end panels, interiors, and hardware handling in the estimate.

03 / Finish

Plan the final look.

We discuss color, sheen, coating choice, and the time the finish needs before normal use.

The illustrative kitchen image above shows one possible color direction. Your actual finish depends on your cabinets and selected products.

How we work

From existing cabinets to a fresh finish.

01

Inspect and plan

We review cabinet condition, materials, existing finish, color goals, and which pieces will be coated.

02

Protect and organize

We protect nearby surfaces and remove, label, or secure doors, drawers, and hardware as the approved work requires.

03

Clean, prepare, and coat

We address grease and buildup, prepare for adhesion, prime where needed, and apply the specified cabinet coating.

04

Reassemble and review

After the appropriate dry time, we put approved components back in place, clean up, and review the result with you.

Good to know

Questions about cabinet painting?

The existing cabinet material and condition shape the preparation and finish plan.

Can you paint cabinets that have a glossy finish?

Glossy or slick surfaces need a careful adhesion plan. We assess the existing finish and specify cleaning, sanding or deglossing, and primer as needed.

Do you paint inside the cabinets too?

Interior shelves and cabinet boxes can be discussed, but they are not automatically part of every cabinet painting project. Your written estimate will list the surfaces included.

Do you remove cabinet doors?

We’ll explain how doors, drawers, hinges, and hardware will be handled for your project. Any removal and reinstallation included will be stated in the scope.

When can I use the cabinets again?

Dry-to-touch time and full cure time are different. We’ll explain the selected product’s guidance and how to treat the new finish during the first days after completion.

Can you paint laminate cabinets?

Some laminate and other slick materials can be coated with the right preparation and products, but suitability depends on the cabinet’s condition. We’ll evaluate it before quoting.

Are you insured?

Yes. JC Coatings is insured. We’ll confirm the agreed surfaces and work in your written estimate.
